Composite magnetically soft and magnetically hard materials

Permanent magnets

We manufacture permanent bonded magnets by welding hard magnetic powder from Nd-Fe-B alloy with plastics. Their dimensions comply with the pressing moulds used.

Manufacturing technology for these permanent magnets makes it possible to modify their magnetic properties. The maximum magnetic energy density of magnets made of fast-cooled Nd-Fe-B strip is 80 kJ/m3. It is possible to manufacture them from mixtures of powders with properties adapted to the customer’s requirements.

We have moulds for manufacturing cylinder-, ring-, rectangle- or ring sector-shaped magnets.

As far as reference magnets are concerned, we can also make components with dimensions specified by the customer using mechanical treatment operations.

It is also feasible to manufacture permanent magnets according to customer requirements after having designed and made an appropriate pressing mould.

Magnets are generally magnetised using a bipolar magnetic field. Special types of bipolar and multipolar magnetisation of permanent magnets are performed with the use of magnetisation heads. As a result, permanent magnets with a variable number and configuration of magnetic poles can be obtained.

We produce composite magnetically soft materials from magnetic powder. In most cases, iron powders are used. Soft magnetic composites (SMC) are also known as dielectromagnetic materials.

Manufacturing technology for SMC enables their magnetic properties to be modified. For iron powder components, magnetic induction Bm for a magnetic field strength of 2.5, 5.0; and 10.0 kA/m is 1.0, 1.3 and 1.5 T respectively. Losses for magnetic induction of 1.4 T at 50, 200, 400 Hz is 10; 40; 90 W/kg respectively.

As in the case of permanent magnets, we manufacture components with dimensions in accordance with the pressing moulds used.
